WHAT DO WE DO

The AFYN want to help you create the change you want to see in your environment.

Trainings & Workshops

We offer lots of events every year, both online and offline; from skills training to film Watch Parties, and from a digital book club to international summits where you get to meet other AFYN members in real life. Check out our upcoming events.

Growth opportunities

We will provide you with the skills and materials you need to take action and make your project a reality. Want to do more? There are opportunities to mentor other AFYN members, and possibilities to intern at the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam or one of our partner organizations near you.

A global network

We offer a platform and network that will allow you to meet and exchange ideas with like-minded young people all over the world!

Anne Frank Youth Network | AFYN

our focus

Anne Frank’s diary and her resilience remains an inspiration to young people everywhere. With Anne’s story as a starting point, we explore how human rights issues impact the lives of young people today.

The youth network focuses on these four topics:

Remembrance

Keeping Anne Frank’s story alive and reflecting on and learning from the past is at the core of our mission. Many AFYN members have created projects about the Holocaust and the Second World War.

Discrimination and equal rights

We encourage young people to think about the dangers of antisemitism, racism and discrimination. We are all different – yet equal. We equip you with the skills and confidence to speak up when you witness injustice and unequal treatment.

Youth empowerment

The AFYN empowers its members with skills in reflection and how to engage in dialogue with one another, especially those who may have a different point of view. We reflect on our own identity and that of others with radical empathy.

Democracy

Being a changemaker may feel like a big responsibility. We want to ensure that young people have the power to change their own immediate environment. No matter how big or small their influence might be, they are a part of democracy.
